Cacti Exploded. Burnt. Done!

Another completed project combining live-action footage (the desert scene) and 3D elements (the cacti and 3D text) composited together in one explosive combination.

Electronic Desert -- Burnt Cacti from Peter von Elling on Vimeo.

This project was for a Cinema 4D and After Effects class as fxphd. The assignment was to compositing the 3D cacti with textures over the footage of the desert scene. Where I freelanced was adding in the explosions and dust debris to give it a little more "punch." I also added the text at the end since the piece seemed to call for it, like the explosions and twisting, flocking vortexes were leading up to something.

Check out other video, motion graphics, and short films that I have created in my video gallery.
