Strategic Planning

Editorial image created in 3D for an article on Strategic Planning. Reused some old 3D assets like the pen to create the image on a deadline.

Support Center Deskop Tent

This image served as the background for a desktop tent that was placed on people's desks to let them know of a new support center phone number and email. The top text and logo was die cut and stood up while the rest was folded down to make the tent stand.

Exploding Ornaments

I had created the Christmas ornaments for the 2010 SAGE Holiday video card, but I repurposed them when we needed labels for the Christmas gifts the company was giving to clients. So I made a few more replicants, added some flourishes in Photoshop and created this image.

Health Care Enforcement

Editorial image for an article about the enforcement measures in the new health care legislation. Completely modeled and rendered in 3D with some touching up in Photoshop. Created and rendered in Luxology modo.

Bang for Your....

Editorial image on the benefits of an association membership for a special section in the association newsletter. Modeled and rendered in Luxology modo and finished in Photoshop.

Opportunity Knocking, Sort of

Image combining an aerial photograph with 3D models for an editorial image to an article about real estate opportunities in Northern Virginia amidst the downturn. Modeled and rendered in Luxology modo and touched up with Photoshop with additional textures.

Dripping Power

Created for a newsletter feature article on recovering from an IT disaster. Used the red "on" lamp and water dripping from the on button to denote terrible things that could happen to IT equipment. Created and rendered in modo, with some extra textures and image processing in Photoshop.

Reece the Rocket Invite

Image I created for a birthday party invitation. I created the rocket in 3D program, and then composited the shot of the toddler with the textured model and a different sky.

3D Race Car Invite

3D Modeling with Construction Paper

Built in modo to look like parts of it were made with colored construction paper. Used to promote a seminar.

IT-Backup Diagram

This is a diagram I made to explain how a particular IT backup and continuity (keep working in case a 'disaster' strikes) system works. The main elements like the servers were created in 3D, and then additional graphics and text were added in Photoshop and InDesign.

Crest Logo For Bike Shop

Dawn of the Documents

Background image for a postcard mailing for work. Short turnaround meant reusing the server and floor elements. Reworked the camera and added the migrating documents to give it a different look.

Zen and the Art of IT

Background image I created for an invite for a company event. The floating servers and block tile floor was modeled in 3D. The people were then composited in from stock photos along with the lens-blurred lights and light streaks. I added contact lighting for the light streaks on the people and floor, and enhanced the under floor lighting in Photoshop.
